The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, through the Biodiversity Foundation, announces the 2013-2014 edition of the European Awards for the Environment to the Company, some awards that recognize and reward those companies that contribute to sustainable economic development.
Any company, regardless of size or your industry, can find ways to improve their environmental performance and contribute to sustainable economic development.
Since 1987, the European Awards for the Environment Enterprise DG Environment of the European Commission, recognize and reward those companies that excel in meeting that goal and make it through sustainable management innovations, products and services, processes, international cooperation or combining business and biodiversity. The winners benefit from the high profile site , improving its visibility and open up new business opportunities. Any company of a Member State of the EU or candidate country to join, can submit an application. However, to qualify for the European Awards, companies must first overcome a national knockout stage. This two-step process ensures that the winning companies are the most innovative, responsible and visionary with over Europe.

The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment 's objectives is to stimulate economic activity linked to the environment, promoting sustainable enterprises and promote employment and the creation and consolidation of green businesses.
